My Cats

SKIDDERS

"Skidders" was found in a field and the first of my feline family. He has huge green eyes. I gave him the birthdate of 6/1/98 because of the approximate age the vet quoted. He came by the name because he loved to skid around the corners and between the rugs. He likes to take the pipe cleaner toys, unravel them, and then carry them through the house. I find them in every room. He traveled the show ciruit and obtained the title of Royal after 5 shows but decided that wasn’t the life for him so in his own way showed that he wanted to stay at home. He has always been the "peacemaker" and the calming influence in our feline family.  Skidders went over the rainbow bridge on 5/27/03.  He was 12th best HHP in ACFA for 2003

HOPE

HOPE has a tiny white locket under her chin so was cant say that she is al black. She was found about the same time as Skidders so they share the same birthdate. She had been mistreated and because of this it took a long time for her to trust anyone. She is still shy around people and although she will get on my lap herself, she will still not allow me to pick her up. In time......

SABRINA

SABRINA was born June 1, 1997 and weighs in at 6 pounds. She is a retired Grand Champion American Shorthair and what a lot of laughs she has given me. She is a ball of fire around this house with more energy than all of my other companions put together. She slinks up to anything new and usually runs around with a pony'o in her mouth, which sometimes ends up in my bed. As tiny as she is she stands her ground and I've seen the bigger guys turn away. She is truly a loveable comedienne.

ESAU

ESAU is a Blue Classic Maine Coon and was born January 12, 1999. When he came to me at 8 weeks he had long fur, thus the name Esau which is Biblical for the long-haired one. He is the gentlest of my kits and the quietest. He makes his wishes known by rubbing against me and looking up at me with huge eyes. He loves to wash the other kits and will put his huge leg over one and make he/she lay down while he gives them a bath but when they have had enough, they wiggle away. His favorite pastime is pulling the hems out of my clothes and picking threads from all of my towels. He always follows me around the house and is my constant loving companion.

MAX

"MAXIMILLIAN" or MAX as I call him was born on April 6, 1999 and is a Brown Tabby Maine Coon. He is long and slender with long strong legs and makes great use of them running through the house with his bushy tail held up straight like a plume....but when he walks...... he has a "sexy" walk as he swings his hips. He has a warm loving personality and trills constantly. He loves to jump onto my lap and if I am on the phone, he will constantly push his face against mine to get me to hang up. When I leave to go to a show, he turns his back on me and ignores me. When he sees me come up on the porch upon returning, he will talk to me through the window, so I know he is no longer mad at me for leaving. Max sits beside me when I am working....a quiet dedicated presence.

JAZZIE TOO

Ultimate Rags Jazzie Too, my RagaMuffin, was born 08/04/98. He is a Blue Bicolor and was sired by Encore Cats all that Jazz of Encore Cats Cattery and born in the Ultimate Rags Cattery to Ultimate Rags Picture Purrfect.

Before Jazzie came to me in 2000 he was a UFO Platinum Grand Champion and one of the SE Regions Top 20 cats for 1999-2000 and he also became a double Champion in ACFA.

After he was altered he continued on the show circuit and in 2000-2001 he was named by AACE as National Best of Color, Best of Breed and Second Best Alter. The same year he was named by the Southern Atlantic Regional as the Best Provisional Alter.

He is now retired and fits in perfectly in the household. He and Max became fast buddies. Jazzie is extremely friendly and loves to be groomed. He stores his glitter balls in the food dishes and takes them out to wash them in the fountain bowl. When they are clean, he carries them through the house and then brings them back to the food bowls for storing.

He is a constant source of joy.
